You’ll learn how to build\, install\, and use your rain barrel to help collect and reuse rainwater in your landscape.\nIt’s also a great gift for the gardener\, homeowner\, or plant lover in your life — and the best part is\, you can say you made it yourself!\nEach rain barrel holds approximately 55 gallons\, though there may be slight style\, size\, or gallon variation. \nEvent Details:\nSaturday\, December 19\, 2026\n10:00 AM – 11:30 AM\nCanterbury Event Pavilion\nCost: $65.00 per rain barrel\nThe fee covers the cost of the rain barrel and workshop instruction.\nImportant Registration Information: \nPre-registration and pre-payment are required through Eventbrite only.\nNo payments will be taken the day of the event.\nRegistration ends December 11\, 2026 at 11:00 PM EST to allow time to purchase workshop materials.\nClass size is limited to 20 U-Build-It participants.\nLimit one rain barrel per household.\nAt least one household member must attend the workshop.\nSorry\, no refunds.\nThis workshop is presented by Kate Kaste\, Program Manager for the Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program at UF/IFAS Extension Pasco County. \nLearn how rainwater harvesting can benefit your landscape while supporting Florida-Friendly Landscaping practices.
