Description:     Very primitive, slow growing seed plant with a rugged trunk, topped with stiff, deep green semi-glossy, feathery like leaves.

Width:     Trunk can grow to 1”-12” diameter, leaves grow to 20-60” long
Blooming:  Females produce flower
Fruit:  Male produce cone
Climate Requirements:     Heat tolerant, cold tolerant and drought tolerant
once established. Prefers full sun, but can withstand partial shade.
Care Requirements:     Very low maintenance, but needs well drained soil.

Special Uses/Attributes:     Heavily used commercially as an accent or ornamental plant and it can also be grown indoors as a potted plant w/ bright sun light.
Florida Native:     No
FYI:     Often referred to as a King Sago “Palm.” However, it is not a palm, but a cycad (seed bearing plant.)

Special Uses/Attributes:     Fantastic choice if desiring a tropical palm look, but reside in a cooler climate.
